GRRRRRRRR!!!! Oops Its Crocodile

Former Zimbabwean cricketerGuy Whittall, spent the night at a lodge without being aware of a 150kg crocodile lurking beneath his bed.
The crocodile sneaked into the Humani lodge, Zimbabwe, and spent the entire night lying quietly, below Whittall.
The following morning, Whittall even perched on the edge of his bed - unaware that the 150kg crocodile was lying just centimetres away from his dangling feet, the Daily Star reported.
The 40-year-old former all-rounder came to know about this only after he heard the petrified screams of a housemaid while he was enjoying his breakfast in the kitchen.
Whittall, a director at Humani, ran back to his room and was stunned to find the enormous crocodile nestled under his bed. (ANI)

Zimbabwe: 40-year-old man finds 8-ft crocodile hiding under his bed

The crocodile came from the Turgwe River which is a couple of kilometres from the house. Guy's co-workers helped remove the crocodile from under the bed and release it back into Humani's Chigwidi dam. "Of course he resisted being roped and hauled out from under the bed, that's only natural," Guy said.

Otago Brush Asides Wolves

Brendon McCullum essayed a captain’s innings to help Otago Volts beat Faisalabad Wolves by eight wickets in the first qualifying games of the Champions League T20 (CLT20), 2013. It was a captain’s day as Misbah-ul-Haq’s knock of 46 had helped Faisalabad recover from an iffy position and took them to 139 for eight in their 20 overs. Otago chased the target with 13 balls to spare.

Chasing 140, Otago got off to a tough start when Neil Broom inside-edged one from Samiullah Khan onto his pads and it carried to first-slip. Brendon McCullum then took control of things with Hamish Rutherford. The latter looked in great touch as he belted two sixes effortlessly and was in control of proceedings.
Watching McCullum and Rutherford in command, Misbah summoned his main weapon, Saeed Ajmal. The off-spinner started with a wide, but had Rutherford immediately as the batsman tried to loft him over the leg-side. The fielder in the deep, Asif Ali, took a good catch diving forward.

Faisalabad then pulled things back and there were a few quiet overs that put pressure on the Otago batsmen. However, McCullum broke the shackles when Ehsan Adil came to bowl the 12th over. Derek de Boorder hit a six and a four and get his innings going as Otago milked 17. In the next over, McCullum was dropped at long-off as Asad Ali misjudged it and fumbled. McCullum got to his 50 at a run a ball and it was a responsible innings on the day.

Earlier Misbah-ul-Haq's 46 off 34 deliveries powered Wolves to 139 which was respectable considering the sedate start by the Pakistan franchise. McCullum's blitz was too hot to handle for Wolves who now need to win their remaining games in order to qualify for the next stage of the competition.

Moreover Ryan Ten Doeschate will be joining otago which will be big boost for team

Brief scores:

Faisalabad Wolves 139 for 8 in 20 overs (Misbah-ul-Haq 46; Ian Butler 2 for 23, James McMillan 2 for 24, James Neesham 2 for 27) lost to Otago Volts 142 for 2 in 17.5 overs (Brendon McCullum 83*) by 8 wickets.

Man of the match: Brendon McCullum

It is also full of great trust, just like the rest of the. team the responsibility of captaincy will motivate them to do even better Shikhar is obviously key in every sense – . . As captain, as a leader, as opening batsman , he will lead from the front, and is confident the head forward. it is the same land where Shikhar made his Test debut and made this huge total of 180 and more, so it has very fond memories of this particular pattern. also , this is where Amit Mishra made his debut against Australia , so there is a feeling of well -being from this direction within the team. “

I think it is the choice of the individual, who play for . Sanga is a great cricket player , and it worked very well for Sri Lanka in the Champions Trophy . Yes, we need to work on tactics, but we can not reveal these strategies. I’m sure he will also know some of our stuff. It’s a funny situation, but both of us will face . “
Despite the advantage of playing on home turf , Srikkanth said his team was strengthened to a tough challenge as he chased one of the two qualifying places . “Every game is very, very important. We do not take any game lightly. Return to JP Duminy is of great importance because it has been in fantastic form . , It was out of fight, but it is now not only return to action, but back in shape too. strengthens our batting order, and small off- spinners are also a very good addition.
“We play the Sri Lankan team tomorrow. They are a good team, and they also have international cricketers . As I said, we can not take any team lightly. We have a very good combination and we are very happy with what we have. Overall, it’s a fantastic feeling in the first year of Hyderabad Sunrisers be in the Champions League . This is a great success , and we want to continue . we have a long way to go. “
Hyderabad relied heavily on the bowlers to do the job IPL VI , but Srikkanth should most significant contributions of the group to stick this time . ” The bowlers did a great job for us in the IPL . But now , with the addition of JP Duminy ( who missed the IPL due to injury ), which is a cricketer very responsible and reliable and can anchor the team for us in the middle order , and Shikhar also in form, it will help us. we are very confident that our staff will click , and if the combinations start clicking , we’re a great force to reckon with .

Zimbabwe Shocks Pakistan

Zimbabwe beat Pakistan in a thriller by 24 runs in the second Test match at Harare to cap a memorable game and week for them. With the win, Zimbabwe also levelled the 2-match series at 1-1.

Needing 106 to win on the final day, Pakistan resumed at 158/5. They eventually capitulated for 239 as last batsman Rahat Ali was run-out for 1. Pakistan skipper Misbah-ul-Haq remained not out on 79.

Zimbabwe dismissed three Pakistan batsmen in the first session, with Adnan Akmal, Abdur Rehman out and Saeed Ajmal falling for 2 just before lunch. After lunch, Junaid Khan was done in by a seering delivery from Tendai Chatara before Misbah opened up.

Zimbabwe's attack was led by seamer Chatara, who had 5-61 and three of the five wickets on Saturday to give the home team its first win over a top test team for over a decade.

Zimbabwe have won only 11 Test matches of the 94 they have played, with the latest, this historic one against a much stronger and touted Pakistan side.

This is Zimbabwe's third Test win over Pakistan. In fact they have come a full circle having garnered their first ever Test win - by an innings and 64 runs - against this very opposition in 1994-95 season.

Zimbabwe have since then beaten Pakistan at Peshawar in 1998. They have twice gone on to beat India too, on this very ground in Harare while all their other Test wins - six - have come against Bangladesh - 4 of them at Harare.

In all, Zimbabwe have won eight out of 11 Tests at Harare now.

Clt20 2013 Details

The final squads for the Karbonn Smart Champions League Twenty20 2013, to be played in India from 17 September to 6 October, have been announced.

A dozen of the world’s best Twenty20 cricketers were in high demand after being named by more than one squad.

Explaining the process for deciding which teams these players would represent, CLT20 Governing Council member and Director of Legal and Business Affairs, Dean Kino, said:

“Players who were named by more than one team were asked to select which team they were going to play for. Teams were then allowed to replace any player that withdrew from their squad and elected to play for another side.

“CLT20 regulations state that when a player elects to play for their ‘away’ team, that team must pay the ‘home’ team $150,000 compensation per player. A ‘home’ team is classified as a team from the country a player is eligible to represent in international cricket.

“This payment is applicable for 10 of the 12 players that were eligible for more than one team. The exceptions are Kumar Sangakkara, who will be representing Kandurata Maroons, which is classified as his home team, and Thisara Perera, who qualified for the Brisbane Heat and Hyderabad Sunrisers, neither of which is classified as his home team.”
